Product Description MC Heavy Duty Steam Cleaner
Amazon.com Review Providing 1500 watts of steam power, this heavy-duty cleaner requires no chemicals and is easy to use. Ideal for cleaning and detailing cars, trucks, motorcycles, or boats, the cleaner removes stains and odors from upholstery, carpeting, and floor mats, as well as grease and grime from engines, wheels, and chrome accessories. It also works well for removing stuck-on dirt from the BBQ grill, patio furniture, or garage. The "steam ready" light indicates when the unit is ready to use, and a steam-control switch provides control over the amount of steam coming from the unit. The cleaner features a storage compartment for its 10 attachments, which include a steam jet nozzle, two extension wands, a triangle brush, an upholstery/floor brush, and a utility brush, as well as a squeegee, funnel, measuring cup, and terry cover for the floor brush. Its 12-foot power cord, caster wheels, and included accessories offer convenient mobility and make it easy to clean nooks and crannies in hard-to-reach places. The 13-pound steam cleaner has a 50-ounce water-tank capacity, which allows for one full hour of use. The unit measures 17-1/2 by 11-3/7 by 9-1/4 inches. --Catie Unger

Not what I expected. September 6, 2010 Cindy I was disappointed by this cleaner as it can only shoot water out, not suck it back up. It is only a power washer, not a steam cleaner. You can't steam carpets or upholstery as it is no different than throwing a pan of hot water on the carpet or furniture. It is very limited in what it can do. I can clean the grout of my tile but not much else. It didn't even do a good job of cleaning the showers. I will never buy a product like this again.
So Far, So Good August 31, 2010 Arleen I've only used my new steamer twice now for steaming my bed because of the recent outbreak of bedbugs (I live in New York City).
In the past I've borrowed a hand held steamer and found it very difficult to hold the heavy water and steam something at the same time. The wheels and long hose and cord really make this steamer extremely easy to use.
The only problem I've found so far is that it starts off steaming very wet. I solved this problem by first quickly steaming into a pot (about 1-2 seconds) and then when it gets going, steam the item. (Still wet but about as much as you would expect from steam.) If you stop steaming for a while it will steam very wet again. Other than this it seems to work very well.
Good for the price.
Poor for shower soap scum August 30, 2010 Jon W Greene (Issaquah, WA USA) I purchased the McCulloch MC-1275 to do battle with shower soap scum. The scum won. The steam softened the soap scum but did not remove it, so I ended up having to use the usual chemical cleaners, scrubbing pads, and razor blades.
Though the McCulloch is very well built and has high-quality attachments, the steam cycled on and off too rapidly. The steam would last perhaps 30 to 60 seconds, then pause for 2 or 3 minutes until more steam could be produced. Customer service told me the "boiler was not functioning properly" and the unit could be brought in for repair. I chose to return the unit, which Amazon.com took care of very quickly and efficiently.
Great product- August 26, 2010 Kathyannnnn Just as everyone said, so thankful for reviews. This is just what I wanted- the small ones had to be carried around. This is more easily moved like a vacumm cleaner and lasts long enough for most jobs! Plenty of steam pressure and I did not have excess water to deal with. There is some but that is to be expected. Overall this steam cleaner has met my expectations and then some.
good steam, but. August 24, 2010 Terry Gray (eliot, maine, US) This gives out great steam, very hot, loved it, until, the hose split, got it in may 2010, hose split, ang. 21 2010.
