Finally someone makes a vacuum that works.
The upright is light and easy to use. It auto adjust to carpet or floor height.
The portable unit is perfect for getting behind, under or way up high.

As attested by the number of 5 star ratings, this is a well designed vacuum cleaner. The problem is its reliability. It worked great the first time it was used. The second time it ran for a few seconds and quit. It never worked again. The technicians at the warranty repair shop said that the electronic power switch is a chronic problem. Since the Chinese bought Hoover, the quality has gone down considerably. The electronics in particular are shoddy.

I'd been looking for a new vacuum cleaner and decided I definitely wanted one with a bag this time. I've owned Hoover vacuums for years and trust the brand. I finally found this model and thought I could easily pick it up at my local WalMart. After visiting 3 stores with no luck (out of stock) I tried Amazon. I was thrilled to not only find it in-stock at Amazon but almost $100 less! It works like a charm. It's lightweight and has a lot of power. I really like the cannister vacuum that's included--so much easier than hooking up attachments to an upright. Replacement bags are also available (and much cheaper) on Amazon, too! If you're looking for a bagged vacuum, you'll love this one!

I needed to replace my Kenmore Progressive (8 yrs old and just wasn't getting it anymore.) We just did a huge remodel with lots of dust. So, now my house has hardwood, linoleum, medium height and high height carpets. AND - we have 2 cats - one is a long hair. So, after alot of research and soul searching, I decided to break away from my Kenmore and go with the Hoover UH30010COM. Is it perfect? No, but I think I'm happy with the 2 product concept. The vacuum is a little tough to run over my high height carpet (can't adjust the setting.) But on the other carpets it's really good. The little canister is noisy but man does it have suction!!! My remodel dust could not hide! I'm still waiting for the perfect vacumn that has everything I want....but until then, I'll settle for this product with its 6 YEAR GUARANTEE!!!!

I had a bagless vaccum before this and I didn't like it. This one is fabulous, lite, and comes with a small portable vac too. LOVE IT! Works great!
